Alyssa Yoong is a Faculty member of AcademyGlobal and is Audit Quality and Capability Executive at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). She is a senior governance, risk and assurance executive with more than 20 years’ experience partnering with CEOs, CFOs and executive leaders. She contributes globally through curriculum co-authoring and industry speaking with the Institute of Internal Auditors, supporting the development of contemporary governance and assurance capability worldwide.

Highly experienced across complex, highly regulated environments, Alyssa is recognised for her ability to translate financial, operational and risk issues into clear, practical commercial insights that support confident decision-making and effective accountability. She brings deep expertise in finance fundamentals for non-financial leaders, commercial decision-making, internal controls, governance and enterprise assurance, focusing on helping leaders connect strategy and transformation to cost, value, impact and risk, and strengthening organisational performance while meeting regulatory and governance expectations supporting confident decisions and stronger accountability in complex, highly regulated environments.

With a deep background in practice, Alyssa supports organisations navigating significant change, increased scrutiny and heightened assurance requirements. Her approach combines technical rigour with a pragmatic lens, enabling participants to apply concepts directly translate concepts into practical actions within their own organisational contexts.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Curtin University, Alyssa is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
