This program is delivered over 12 months through a blend of virtual workshops, self-paced online learning and assessment.

Assessment
You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written, work-based portfolios and practical assessments.
This qualification is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
CIPS has mapped 2 AQF qualifications:
- AQF Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (PSP50616)
- AQF Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (PSP60616)
Learners who achieve the PSP50616 Diploma delivered by UQ Skills (RTO #1511) University of Queensland in partnership with AcademyGlobal will receive the maximum number of exemptions available for the CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply, only needing to undertake 2 of 8 subjects to be awarded the CIPS Diploma.
Students who undertake this pathway are also eligible to have the CIPS joining fee waived when applying for CIPS membership.

Designed to reflect best practice in public sector procurement across Commonwealth, state and local governments, this program has been certified by the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council, to provide the confidence and skills to accelerate your career as a public sector procurement professional.

- be aged 18 years or over
- work in the public sector (you’ll complete an evidence portfolio for assessment)
- have the support of your supervisor or employer
- hold a minimum Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).

Third-party arrangement
UQ Skills has a third-party arrangement with AcademyGlobal to deliver this program. In this arrangement, UQ Skills is the Principal RTO.
At all times, the Principal RTO is responsible for the quality of the training and assessment you will receive in compliance with Standards for RTOs 2015, and for the issuance of the Australian Qualifications Framework certification documentation.
These standards set out the requirements that an organisation must meet in order to be an RTO and ensure the integrity and quality of nationally recognised training provided by registered training organisations.

Graduates of the PSP50616 Diploma receive the maximum exemptions toward the CIPS Level 4 Diploma, needing to complete only two modules to gain the CIPS qualification.
Graduates of the PSP60616 Advanced Diploma are eligible for further exemptions toward the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma

For Queensland Government employees, UQ Skills and AcademyGlobal are the delivery partners for the Queensland Government Procurement Certification Program (PCP).
The PCP is a four-level certification framework aligned to procurement complexity and risk:
- Level 1 (Fundamentals) – low value / low risk procurements
- Level 2 (Intermediate) – low-to-medium value / low risk procurements
- Level 3 (Advanced) – medium-to-high value / medium risk procurements
- Leads to the Diploma of Procurement and Contracting
