She is passionate about enabling others to find purpose, build their capability, and find belonging in their work.  Madeleine enjoys helping people imagine what’s possible.

Madeleine is the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Public Administration Australian, New South Wales Division – the professional association for the over 400,000 people who work in, and with, the public sector.  She was responsible for leading the organisation in its mission to build capable public servants in their roles and career, helping them be at their best for the people of New South Wales.

During her tenure, Madeleine led the organisation from a stable, well-performing business, to one with new relevance and a large impact.  She steered the Institute of Public Administration through the turbulent times of the health pandemic and the constantly changing public sector environment.  She reinvented the organisation via a significant transformation in 2020/21 to new growth, member value, and strong financial security.

Madeleine’s career includes senior leadership roles with the public service in public housing redevelopment, asset strategy, supply & logistics, and organisational change, and with the not-for-profit sector in aged care and youth mentoring.

She is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, she has a graduate diploma in business, and a degree in classical ballet.  Madeleine is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Executive Fellows Program of the Australian & New Zealand School of Government.
