Michael is a highly experienced procurement and contracting practitioner and educator with deep experience across all levels of government at Commonwealth, state and local levels. He holds over a decade of hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, asset management, project management and contract management.

His career background spans diverse industries including mining, oil and gas, water, energy and local and state government organisations.

Michael prides himself on his ability to lead strategic tenders, foster robust supplier relationships, and orchestrate successful teams. Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply and numerous advanced certifications in procurement and supply, including the Monash University PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.

He finds great fulfilment in training and education through sharing his passion for the entire procurement and contracting lifecycle with diverse audiences. Michael hopes to contribute to the advancement of the industry through leading procurement and contract management education programs. This dedication is underscored by a belief in the holistic concept of value, encompassing local communities, social impact, Indigenous collaboration and sustainability.

Myla Bulaon

Myla Bulaon is a Faculty Member with AcademyGlobal, bringing extensive experience across the public sector in procurement, contract management, and organisational capability uplift. She has worked closely with government agencies to strengthen procurement practices, embed governance frameworks, and support teams in navigating complex policy and operational environments.

Myla combines strong practical expertise with a highly engaging facilitation style, drawing on her experience delivering capability development programs across procurement, risk, and supplier management. She has supported agencies in implementing contemporary procurement frameworks, improving contract performance, and building confidence in applying policy to real-world scenarios.

In her facilitation, Myla focuses on translating policy and theory into practical, actionable insights. She is particularly skilled in creating interactive learning environments where participants can apply concepts to realistic case studies, share experiences, and build capability that directly transfers back into the workplace.

Myla has held a range of senior roles across procurement and program delivery, and brings a deep understanding of government operating environments, stakeholder management, and the challenges faced by public sector practitioners. Her approach is grounded, collaborative, and outcomes-focused, ensuring participants leave with both the knowledge and confidence to apply what they have learned.

Paul Vorbach

Paul Vorbach MCom, LLM, MBA, FAICD, FGIA

Paul is the Founding Managing Director at AcademyGlobal, NSW Councillor, Australian Institute of Company Directors, and Non-Executive Director. He is an adjunct at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and previously Honorary Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

With a background in executive management at Deloitte (Senior Manager) and Citi (VP and Director), Paul has 25 years’ experience across investment, financial services and management education. He has conducted executive assignments in 20 countries on 5 continents and partnered with leaders in commerce, academia, government and the not-for-profit sector. Paul works with clients on capability strategy, training needs analysis, program design and course delivery with particular expertise across governance, finance, procurement, risk management, turnaround and restructuring. 

Sarah Collins

Sarah holds a BSc (Hon) in Manufacturing Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. She has over 27 years procurement and supply chain experience in local and Asia region roles within FMCG, Financial Services, Higher Education and NSW Government, and was most recently the Head of Procurement at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She is also a casual academic for the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University, and an AcademyGlobal Faculty Member, delivering procurement professional qualifications.

A highly active member of the Australian procurement community, Sarah was formerly a member and Chair of the NSW CIPS Committee and the ANZ CIPS Profession Steering Committee. She also represented CIPS and the Australian procurement practitioners on the Standards Australia Committee for the development and adoption of the global standard ISO20400 Sustainable Procurement.

Stuart Patch

Stuart Patch DipPM, CGMA, FCMA, MCPA

Commencing with AG in 2013, Stuart is a director and senior faculty member at AcademyGlobal who specialises in the areas of finance, project management, procurement, contracting and risk management. Earlier in his career Stuart’s corporate roles included finance director and chief financial officer for European and US multinationals

He is a highly experienced senior executive who has developed and delivered training for AG’s partners including UTS (accessUTS), Monash University (Monash College) and the University of Queensland (UQ Skills).

Stuart’s training assignments have been conducted throughout Australia and Southeast Asia for organisations including the Institute Public Administration Australia (IPAA), the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). He has developed and delivered training for commercial and government organisations in Australia and internationally including multiple Commonwealth, state and local government organisations.

Tristan Cockman

Tristan Cockman LLB, LLM, BA

With over 16 years of experience as a solicitor, Tristan Cockman brings extensive expertise in energy, construction, property, and planning law. His career encompasses roles in top-tier law firms and in-house positions within ASX-listed and internationally listed companies. Tristan has advised a diverse clientele, including energy companies, developers, builders, and contractors, providing comprehensive legal guidance across various sectors.

In his current role as Special Counsel at Kreisson, a Sydney-based construction and engineering law firm, Tristan offers in-depth knowledge in contract preparation and negotiation, contract reviews, and contract management. He has also represented clients in planning matters, including appeals and defending prosecutions. Notably, Tristan recently conducted due diligence for a large-scale wind, solar, and green hydrogen development exceeding 5GW.

Tristan holds a Master of Laws and postgraduate qualifications in Energy, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. His balanced approach combines a commercial big-picture mindset with meticulous attention to detail, solidifying his reputation as a trusted expert in property, construction, and energy law.
