BA (Hons), MDT, GAICD, GIAP2
Sibylle Brautigam is a Faculty Member at AcademyGlobal, co-founder of the Northstar Institute and License2Operate (L2O) with over 30 years’ experience working at the intersection of government, industry and regional Australia.
Based in Darwin, Sibylle specialises in leadership, governance and stakeholder capability in complex operating environments with a particular focus on navigating competing stakeholder interests and translating strategy into practical, on-the-ground implementation.
Through the Northstar Institute, Sibylle supports leadership and governance capability development across government, industry and regional organisations, drawing on experienced practitioners and established Territory networks to deliver locally grounded programs. Sibylle previously held senior roles within the Northern Territory Government, including as Deputy CEO within the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation.
In this role, she had executive oversight of strategic procurement policy, alongside broader responsibilities for policy development, industry engagement and major programs of work. She also led development of an Aboriginal contracting framework to strengthen Indigenous participation in government procurement – work that informed the approach subsequently adopted by government. This experience gives her a strong understanding of government decision-making, accountability frameworks and the practical realities of implementing policy.
Sibylle holds an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master of Diplomacy and Trade from Monash University. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and currently serves on the AICD’s National Board.
