Stuart brings over three decades of leadership experience in the Army and Defence sector.

Stuart’s time as a senior officer includes multiple leadership roles in training related appointments from Chief Instructor to a national-strategic role as Director of Training Systems. These roles featured oversight of workforce development – including technical, operational, and leadership programs – as well as designing and evaluating large scale, multi-national exercises. His various senior appointments demanded strategic planning, operational delivery, corporate governance, managing commercial partnerships and driving business reform. Stuart was awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for his efforts to modernise Army Training and Education.

Stuart has also served in a variety of leadership roles in times of crisis, leading multi-national, cross-functional teams in high-pressure, high-risk environments, including complex operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. He has also led planning teams through multi-national, inter-agency emergency responses across Australia and the Pacific. Having completed 30 years of full time service and transferred to the ADF reserves, Stuart now enjoys working with clients to improve organisational strategy and workforce outcomes.

Stuart’s military and civilian career has emphasised servant leadership, good character, authenticity, ethical decision making and personal resilience. He has a passion for working with people, building teams, cultivating talent, sharing success and inspiring people towards a vision.
